German Shepherd Hypoallergenic

Homemade dog food to a dog with allergies.?

My nine months old German Shepherd has some kind of food allergy. Our vet does not know yet it is allergic, but Zeus got hypoallergens and itching has almost stopped completely! It's awesome! (Food very expensive though … $ 80 for a weight of 26. Bag). So, I can only assume at this point that whatever in its dry dog food (which is probably in most foods) is what you are allergic. I guess if I do the food, the better for it. He looked around the Internet for recipes, but most of them you have to pay. I need some good and healthy. In addition, many recipes call for supplements … is that it is necessary, and if so, what kind of supplements a need to take? I saw a pile of bones … What's that, and that is that necessary? I do not want to deprive him of the nutrition it needs, particularly it is just a puppy and is still growing. Please help! specific recipes would be best … about 1 cup chopped chicken … etc.

I feed homemade and my dogs (greyhounds high and a puppy) are thriving on it. I bought a book I started reading in my vet's office called "Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and 'Cats. It has lots of recipes in it, all the extras you need and why you need each one, so as a section on health problems – one of the things covered is allergies. If you want to feed home made, I think this book is a great investment not only for prescriptions, but because it explains everything and you do not have to worry about not feeding your dog a balanced diet.
